7-color map, 25" x 76"  Follow North West Company Clerk John MacDonell as he undertakes his first trip into the Interior in 1793. Guided by excerpts from his journal, this map reconstructs the summer canoe route of the NWC fur trade from Lachine to Grand Portage. Each day is mapped using color to represent the physical and emotional landscapes recollected and recorded by Macdonell. Printed in Colorado Springs by Pikes Peak Litho.
